The rainforests of Colombia have long been subjected to clearing, with many wildlife species suffering as a result. An award-winning project is turning the tide on forest destruction by helping local people to find alternative incomes that are not dependent on forest clearing. Proyecto Titi, which highlights the Cotton-top Tamarin as its ambassador animal, is a community-based non-profit organisation that has already reduced the need for forest clearing, conducted extensive research on the ecology of the Colombian rainforest, and provided people with alternative incomes. We are proud to have this exciting project as one of our partners.
Proyecto Titi has an important opportunity to protect and re-plant rainforest in prime Cotton-top habitat, and Wild Carbon is actively working to provide the resources to achieve this goal.
In addition to the environmental and business benefits of offsetting and reducing emissions, when you offset with Wild Carbon, people and wildlife in places such as Colombia benefit in ways that change the future.
Contact Wild Carbon to reduce your footprint and help the Cotton-top Tamarins of Colombia through this major reforestation effort.
